NETFLIX'S 'HOUSE OF CARDS' MAKES TV HISTORY...
Earlier this morning, history was made when the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations were announced.
House of Cards, a Netflix Original Series, became the first series delivered online to be nominated for an Emmy. Correction, nine Emmys. The political drama received a best drama series nomination, as well as lead acting nominations for its stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.
Additionally, Netflix's other Original Series, Arrested Development, also received a best acting in comedy nomination for Jason Bateman. Though the show originated on FOX, this would be the second show currently streamed through Netflix that is Emmy nominated.
The Emmys will air on September 22.
