Drama Pick-of-the-Week
American Horror Story: Asylum (BD/DVD)
Revisit the happenings of patients, doctors, and nuns of Briarcliff Mental Institution with the release of the second season of FX's anthology series. Past secrets and revelations, plus disturbing experiments within the institution, increase the suspense and mystery of Asylum and leads to a shocking conclusion. While not as good as the first season of the anthology, Asylum does retain the shock value in each episode.
Comedy Pick-of-the-Week
The Middle - The Complete 3rd Season
The Heck family continue their adventures and craziness in fictional Orson, Indiana with the third season. It begins with the end of summer and the Hecks going on a mini, and cheap, vacation where Patricia Heaton's Frankie is reunited with an old acquaintance played by Ray Romano. The children continue battling growing responsibilities and learning about life. Everything culminates to a hilarious season-ending wedding.
Retro Collection Pick-of-the-Week
The Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts: Complete Collection
Available exclusively from StarVista/Time Life, the famous Dean Martin celebrity roasts are now available in one complete collection. From the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, these hour-long roasts featured a who's who of the comedy world roasting some great actors and athletes of the time. While some of the jokes may be dated, it still has many great moments and who could resist watching Dean Martin gradually get drunk in an hour?!? Pricey but definitely worth it. Purchase it on the installment plan.
