This week is THE week to watch. Tons of premieres are coming up so let's run down the list of tonight's schedule, which includes the premiere of CBS' Monday comedy night and the return of NBC's The Voice.
Premieres
The CBS comedy, How I Met Your Mother, kicks off its final season with an hour-long premiere. Robin and Barney make a pretty shocking discovery. Could they be related?!? Meanwhile, Lily gets to know "The Mother" as the show prepares to reveal the story of how Ted met his wife. 8 pm on CBS.
Last night's Emmys winner for Reality-Competition Program, The Voice, starts its fifth season with the original coaches back in those chairs. The blind auditions begin tonight on the two-hour premiere. 8 pm on NBC.
Two Broke Girls breaks out its third season premiere with a celebrity event, some cupcakes, and of course, two broke ass girls. 9 pm on CBS.
What could be better comedy than a single mother (Anna Faris) who is recently sober and struggling to keep it together? Well a recovering alcoholic receiving a visit from her estranged mother (Allison Janney) of course! Mom will be an interesting one to watch. We're putting our money on Allison Janney to bring the funny. 9:30 pm on CBS.
The much hyped, and spectacularly awesome, series premiere of The Blacklist airs tonight. (Read our preview and review here!...but caution: SPOILER ALERT in Stay Tuned's post. James Spader plays wicked perfectly and the agent/criminal dynamic has shades of The Silence of the Lambs. Take our word for it, after watching this hour, you'll be craving for more. 10 pm on NBC.
Castle starts its sixth season with an important investigation but the more important question on viewers' minds regarding Beckett and Castle is...will they or won't they? The buddy cop dynamic begins its path down David and Maddie-ville (Had to toss in that Moonlighting reference). 10 pm on ABC.
Now THIS SHOW is a doozy! Hostages stars Toni Collette as Dr. Ellen Sanders who is given a pretty tough choice: either assassinate the President of the United States during surgery or her family will be killed by rogue FBI agent Duncan Carlisle, played by Dylan McDermott. Not a simple choice, huh? Dylan McDermott as a baddie and Toni Collette (yes, just her presence on the show) makes us want to tune in. 10 pm on CBS.
Also new tonight:
Dancing with the Stars trots in its second week; Bones brings back alter egos Tony and Roxy for a new episode; and Sleepy Hollow continues the mystique as present day cop Abbie and centuries old Ichabod hunt for a witch.
What show(s) are you looking forward to tonight?
