FALL 2013: COMING TO TV TONIGHT (10/10)!

Tonight, we are shown the other side of Wonderland and a drama says farewell to a friend.

Once Upon a Time's much-hyped spinoff, OUAT in Wonderland, premieres tonight with an Alice and Wonderland we were never told. Set in a period after Alice's original adventure in Wonderland, the little girl is a bit older and locked up in an asylum. Sitting before a medical panel, Alice defends the existence of Wonderland and all the characters she encountered. Before she is subject to severe shock treatment, Alice is released thanks to the White Rabbit and Knave of Heart. Alice travels once again down the rabbit hole/portal in search for her lost love, genie Cyrus, and along the way has to contend with the obstacles of the Red Queen and Jafar (Hmmm, genies and Jafar...could this be an Aladdin reference?).  8 pm on ABC.

McKinley High says goodbye to Finn Hudson on Glee. Original cast members reunite to pay tribute to their fallen castmate in an emotional hour packed with a powerful track list. Don't forget your Kleenex. 9 pm on FOX.

Grey's Anatomy celebrates its 200th episode with a big fundraising gala for the deteriorating hospital. Break out the champagne and watch out for Death. He always seems to strike this medical drama, especially during big parties. 9 pm on ABC.

FALL 2013: COMING TO TV TONIGHT (10/9)!

The CW continues to roll out its premieres tonight with the Amell cousins and FX brings out the latest chapter of American Horror Story.

Arrow returns tonight with its second season premiere with a different look. Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) returns to Starling City and finds that the city is much different from when he left. And it's definitely not for the better. Ollie finds trouble on both sides as Isabel Rochev prepares a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated, while Laurel teams with the DA's office to bring down the vigilante. 8 pm on The CW.

The Tomorrow People premieres tonight and immediately dives into the realm of human superpowers. Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell) believes he is going crazy with the voices in his head...until they finally lead him to the Tomorrow People. Jameson meets the team of genetically advanced superpeople and joins them in the hunt for "exceptional" creatures. 9 pm on The CW.

American Horror Story: Coven kicks off its latest chapter with witches from the south. Innocent Zoe finds out she is descended from a long line of witches and is taken to a mysterious school in New Orleans. She soon learns that the school is for girls just like her. Meanwhile, head diva witch Supreme, Jessica Lange, returns to NOLA to cause trouble...like her characters normally do. The promos have been plentiful and with previous chapters of AHS, we know Coven won't be for the faint at heart.

Also on TV Tonight

Modern Family celebrates its 100th episode with the arrival of Cam's sister, Pam. Cam tries to hide his engagement from Pam, but little does Cam know that Pam has a secret she wants to tell Cam. Whew!

Also, CSI has a mini-Cheers reunion when John Ratzenberger guest stars as a club owner smack dab in the middle of a fatal fire.

FALL 2013: COMING TO TV TONIGHT (10/3)!

The vampires and adulterers return tonight!

The fifth season of The Vampire Diaries gets started in a whole new different realm: College. Elena ends a passionate summer with Damon and enters college life. Of course nothing is as easy as it appears. 8 pm on The CW.

New comedy The Millers debuts tonight with recently divorced Nathan Miller (Will Arnett) throwing his parents marriage into disarray. When his parents separate, Nathan ends up rooming with his momma. Shenanigans ensue with this new roommate arrangement. 8:30 pm on CBS.

Hey look! Burt Hummel is on a new show! Glee's Mike O'Malley and Desperate Housewives' Ricardo Antonio Chavira portray the patriarch leads on Welcome to the Family. The dads and their respective families are suddenly united when their teenage kids become expectant parents. Yay Planned Parenthood! That's how you do comedy. You'll definitely want to check this one out. 8:30 pm on NBC.

The Vampire Diaries spin-off, The Originals, kicks off tonight in a special time slot. It will normally air on Tuesdays after the first episode. In the premiere, Klaus, the original vampire/werewolf hybrid, returns to New Orleans where he is joined by his siblings Elijah and Rebekah. If you followed the flagship show then you'll know who these people are exactly. 9 pm on The CW.

Sean Hayes returns to sitcom television with his new outing, Sean Saves the World. Hayes portrays a divorced gay dad who suddenly has his teenage daughter show up on his doorstep to live with him. Alice's Linda Lavin portrays Hayes' character's mother who arrives to help her son with this new transition. Another plus, Megan Hilty from the ill-fated musical drama Smash co-stars as one of Hayes' co-workers. 9 pm on The CW.

Scandal fans get a double helping of the hottest political affair to hit the airwaves. First at 8 pm on ABC, Scandal: The Secret is Out recaps every juicy, jaw-dropping moments from the first two seasons of the show. The new episode of the third season then airs at 10 pm as Olivia handles the fallout of her exposed affair and the appearance of her shady pops.

Comedy powerhouses The Big Bang Theory and Parks and Recreation air new episodes, while The Crazy Ones and The Michael J. Fox continue to gather an audience; Glee concludes its Beatles tribute with the second of a two-parter; Elementary and Parenthood bring the drama.

FALL 2013: WHAT'S NEW ON TV TONIGHT (10/2)!

There are several new shows premiering tonight. One is a remake from the late 1960s and the other is just really, really bad.

Rebel Wilson has become one popular girl thanks to sleeper movie hit Pitch Perfect. Unfortunately that popularity cannot save one mess of a show. Super Fun Night premieres tonight in the coveted spot behind Modern Family and we can already predict that it won't stay there for very long. So how bad is it? Well for starters, the pilot episode received so much negative responses that the network scrapped it and will start the show's run with its second episode. The three main lead characters, including Wilson, are just unrealistic and down right hard to root for in this "comedy." If it was up to us, we would replace it with the late Don't Trust the B--- in Apt. 23. 9:30 pm on ABC.

NBC tries another reboot, and it looks like this time it'll work. Ironside is a remake of the the 1960s procedural drama of the same name. So far the only difference is that the location has been reimaged and is now set in New York (the original was set in San Francisco). Blair Underwood gives an excellent performance as Robert Ironside and the tonight's series premiere will balance this week's case with flashbacks of Ironside's shooting and subesequent paralyzation. This one is definitely worth checking out. 10 pm on NBC.

A Young Doctor's Notebook premieres tonight and features Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe as the doctor/narrator. Jon Hamm portrays the older, drug-addicted version who narrates from his diaries while Daniel Radcliffe plays the younger version practicing medicine in early 20th-century Russia. This 2012 miniseries is based on A Country Doctor's Notebook, a collection of short stories by Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov. 10 pm on Ovation.

The CW airs Arrow: Year One, which recaps the entire first season of the DC Comics based vigilante hero. ABC's comedy night features new episodes of The Middle, Back in the Game, and Modern Family. Country music sudser Nashville follows the outcome of Rayna's accident. NBC's Revolution continues its struggle in the 8 o'clock slot followed by a new episode of Law & Order: SVU. CBS presents a new chapter in the latest version of Survivor, followed by new episodes of procedural and crime dramas Criminal Minds and CSI. The X-Factor continues to figure out its competitors on FOX.

FALL 2013: COMING TO TV TONIGHT (9/29)! SO LONG 'BREAKING BAD'...

Well the last Sunday in September has arrived and for many fans, this is THE night for premieres and goodbyes. Breaking Bad rides off into the sunset while Homeland begins another season of thrilling suspense.

New and Returning Premieres

Once Upon a Time starts off its third season right where it left viewers last spring. The core gang is aboard Hook's ship traveling to Neverland. Their mission to rescue a kidnapped Henry is interrupted however by several vicious mermaids (Is one them a red-head that lives under the sea?) and a malicious Peter Pan. This isn't the Neverland that we have always read about. 8 pm on ABC.

The Amazing Race returns for another 'round the world contest. It's 23rd season kicks off in arid Iquique, Chile (Shout out to Chile...woot woot!). 8 pm on CBS.

Long-running animated comedy The Simpsons begins its silver anniversary season (that's 25 y'all) with a Homeland-esque parody when Lisa believes Homer has been turned after returning from a nuclear plant operators convention. SNL vet Kristen Wiig guest voices as a Claire Danes-like character. 8 pm on FOX.

Bob's Burgers premieres its fourth season with a camping trip for Bob and family. Unfortunately for Bob, something he eats doesn't agree with him. Cue hilarity. 8:30 pm on FOX.

The third season of Revenge has been promised to be a return to its original premise. No more Initiative, no more complicated storylines. Right off the bat, Emily is shot. But don't fret, it's a flashforward to build up the mystery of why Ems was shot on a boat. Victoria's long-lost son makes his first appearance and get ready for Conrad to collapse...literally. 9 pm on ABC.

The Good Wife returns for a fifth season with Alicia doing double duty. First she must prevent the execution of a convicted murderer, then she must continue her plan to exit the firm with Cary. We think the latter will be much harder than freeing a murderer. 9 pm on CBS.

Family Guy begins a 12th season with typically Peter Griffin silliness. Peter becomes convinced that a restaurant placemat is actually a treasure map, and creates a scavanger hunt through Quahog. Hilarity ensues. 9 pm on FOX.

The ninth season of American Dad begins in the midst of prom season. Steve and Snot use the CIA's cloning machine to create two dates for the high school dance. More hilarity ensues. 9:30 pm on FOX.

While viewers may be losing Breaking Bad after tonight's series finale, at least they have the return of Showtime's Homeland. The drama begins its third season with recently shaved Brody still at large, Carrie under fire by a Senate committee, Saul planning a pretty bad counterstrike, and Jessica dealing with the fallout. 9 pm on SHO.

New drama Betrayal lands the coveted post-Revenge time slot and based on the premise and pilot episode, it should fit right in. Sara has an affair with an attorney but unfortunately for her the sex isn't just clean cut. She learns that her husband, who is also an attorney, will be facing off against her sidepiece in a big murder case. We're tempted to watch this one just to see the big reveal. 10 pm on ABC.

The Mentalist returns for its sixth season in hot pursuit of Red John as Jane and Lisbon continue to narrow down the list of suspects. 10 pm on CBS.

Series Finales

After five seasons, the world finally says goodbye to Walter White and Breaking Bad. Tonight's final episode will run for 75 minutes followed by an hour-long Talking Bad wrap-up. Execs have been tight-lipped about the finale and all that was given was this phrase..."The story concludes." 9 pm on AMC.

FALL 2013: COMING TO TV TONIGHT (9/26)! COMEDIES AND DRAMAS AFOOT!

Tonight is the night for the return of big dramas and great comedies!

New and Returning Premieres

Parks and Recreation kicks off its sixth season with an hour-long premiere that sees most of the gang heading to London when Leslie wins an award. Meanwhile, Chris and Ann begin their swan song journey to exiting the show. 8 pm on NBC.

America's favorite nerdy bunch returns for a seventh season. Tonight's double helping of The Big Bang Theory delves further into the Sheldon and Penny dynamic while Leonard is away. Oh and let us say, secrets will be revealed. Later, Leonard returns and his relationship with Sheldon will be put to a test. Good or bad thing? You'll have to tune in. 8 pm on CBS.

Glee returns for its fifth season tonight with the first part of a two-part Beatles tribute episode. Beatles fans will either love it or hate it but rumor has it that Rachel's rendition of "Yesterday" will be the one everyone talks about at the water cooler on Friday. The first two episodes of the musical drama will lead up to the Cory Monteith tribute episode. 9 pm on FOX.

The two-hour 10th season premiere of Grey's Anatomy picks up with the aftermath of the superstorm. Fresh off giving birth to lil' Bailey, Meredith has to make a difficult choice. Girlie just can't catch a break on this show. Callie and Arizona have big issues to resolve, and viewers will finally learn what fate has in store for Richard. 9 pm on ABC.

Robin Williams' heralded return to the world of sitcoms occurs tonight with the premiere of The Crazy Ones. Co-starring Buffy's Sarah Michelle Gellar, the comedy focuses on a dynamic father-daughter advertising team (i.e. they're polar opposites...can you imagine the comedy?). The one thing this pilot episode has going for it is that Davide E. Kelley wrote it. It'll be interesting to see Williams back on television, and moderated...hopefully, and Gellar in a comedic format. 9 pm on CBS.

The Michael J. Fox Show premieres tonight and we have to say that this is our pick of the night. Whether it's seeing Michael J. Fox back on television or just loving the premise of the half-hour sitcom, we have been looking forward to this show. Read here why we already love this new show. Fox plays a news anchor who returns to work after several years away dealing with Parkinson's disease. Plus we get two episodes tonight, what more could we ask for? 9 pm on NBC.

Change is afoot when Two and a Half Men returns for its 11th season. Angus T. Jones is out and Amber Tamblyn is in as the new "half" of the show. Tamblyn makes her debut as Jenny, Charlie's long-lost lesbian daughter who is definitely a chip off the old, dead block. Cue the laugh track. 9:30 pm on CBS.

The modern-day re-imaging of Sherlock Holmes and Watson returns for its sophmore season. Elementary starts the night with Holmes and Watson traveling to London to help solve a puzzling case. The trip also fuels a family reunion of sorts as Holmes reunites with his estranged brother, Mycroft. 10 pm on CBS.

Home is where the heart is, and everything if anything is about family. The fifth season of Parenthood begins with the household shake-up brought on by a certain recent newborn. Also, an old flame returns to Sarah's life and literally takes her by surprise. 10 pm on NBC.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. repeats its premiere episode on ABC, meanwhile The X Factor continues its auditions. The CW repeats its season ending episodes in preparation for their fall premieres. 

FALL 2013: COMING TO TV TONIGHT (9/25)!

Tonight sees the return of ABC's comedies, CBS' dramas, and NBC tries out a different schedule.

New & Returning Premieres

The Middle kicks off its fifth season tonight and sees young Axl Heck heading to college. The entire Heck family tags along to help the oldest son move into his college dorm. Only antics and craziness could occur when the Hecks go out in public, right? 8 pm on ABC.

Revolution picks up where it left viewers this past spring. The repercussions of turning the lights back on will be explored and the world that we knew in season one will drastically change. Allegiances and attitudes change within the core cast. NBC is apparently taking a risk and putting sophmore drama Revolution to the test with this new time slot. It will certainly face an uphill battle against ABC's comedy hour and the reality shows on FOX and CBS. Will you be tuning in? 8pm on NBC.

Back in the Game has gained the coveted time slot between The Middle and Modern Family but that isn't necessarily a good thing. The comedy will have a lot to prove to maintain the ratings between the two veteran comedies, and unfortunately first previews have been mixed. Single mom Terry and son move in with her former pro-baseball player father. After her son and a group of unworthy kids aren't considered for a little league baseball team, Terry decides to form her own team a la Bad News Bears. The jury is still out if this old formula will work this time. Surefire it's not. 8:30 pm on ABC.

Modern Family starts off its fifth season with an hour-long episode. The Pritchetts and Dunphys enjoy the final days of summer, and the families deal with Manny and Luke entering their first year of high school. Oh and Cam is teaching again. That should be a riot. 9 pm on ABC.

The 15th season of Law & Order: SVU kicks off with an amazing two-hour premiere. (15 years already, really now?). NBC has spent the latter half of the summer promoting the #SaveBenson campaign. Benson remains missing and held captive. Will the other detectives find her in time? Also, a basement full of kidnapping victims is found thus activating a bunch of cold cases. Hmmm, this sounds recently straight from the headlines. 9 pm on NBC.

Criminal Minds begins its ninth season on the hunt for a killer in Arizona. The season premiere is a two-parter so be prepared for the cliffhanger and tune in next week for the resolution. 9 pm on CBS.

The second season of Nashville focuses on the repercussions after the season ending car crash last May, which was fueled by the revelation that Deacon is Maddie's biological father. Flashforward post-accident: Rayna is in a coma while Deacon is in jail waiting for his sentence. Maddie, however, makes the ultimate mistake and confides the whole drama to the wrong person. Any guesses? 10 pm on ABC.

Season 14 of CSI finds Morgan and Ellie kidnapped by a ritualistic killer. Can D.B. Russell and team find and save them in time? 10 pm on CBS.

Survivor: Blood vs. Water and The X-Factor go head-to-head with new episodes, meanwhile South Park returns to Comedy Central for a 17th season.
