WACKY WEDNESDAY: 'THE SOUP' CELEBRATES THE BIG 5-0-0!
E! celebrates a milestone today...the 500th episode of the long-running The Soup.
The Joel McHale vehicle that looks back on the day's best snippets and clippings will celebrate with not only one but two live episodes today. The live episode will air at 10 pm EST and then again at 10 pm PST. There will be a different celebrity cameo for each half hour feed, and most likely a bunch more shenanigans typically associated with the show. Could any former Talk Soup hosts pop up for the celebration? Remember that Greg Kinnear, John Henson, Hal Sparks, and Aisha Tyler were all former hosts of The Soup's predecessor.

FALL 2013: TWO SERIES REGULARS TO EXIT 'THE MENTALIST'
As the Fall 2013 television season approaches, we've begun getting more insight into casting changes within long-running shows. Today's blurb looks at the impending exits of two series regulars on CBS' The Mentalist.
Original castmembers Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman, who play special agents (and on-again, off-again lovers) Van Pelt and Rigsby, will depart the series towards the end of its season. No word yet on how the duo will written off the show but this upcoming sixth season promises to finally reveal Red John, which has been the primary mystery for the show's entire run. Whether Van Pelt and Rigsby are casualties in the unveiling of the mystery remains to be seen but the creator has indicated that this sixth season would be a game changer in moving the show into a new direction. Additionally, two new series regulars will be introduced at the beginning of 2014 to fill the upcoming vacancies.

WACKY WEDNESDAY: NICK CANNON SCORES ANOTHER TELEVISION GIG
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous was a syndicated show (and closest version of reality TV at the time) that aired from 1984 to 1995. Host Robin Leach led viewers through the wealthy and extravagant lifestyles of famous entertainers and athletes, as well as famous business dominating corporate America at the time. Lifestyles highlighted the excess and wealth that characterized the 1980s, and viewers gobbled up each second. Robin Leach ended each episode with his trademark closing "Champagne wishes and caviar dreams," of course with a glass of bubbly and some deliciously expensive finger food in hand.
The Style Network tried rebooting the series in February 2013 with literally zero results. News today, however, indicates that the network is looking to create a more noticeable presence for the show. Nick Cannon has been tapped to host the reboot series with production beginning sometime in the fall. While no premiere date has been set, Cannon hopes to increase his hosting repertoire with a revamped Lifestyles. The premise of the show will pretty much remain the same.

WACKY WEDNESDAY: 'ONCE UPON A TIME' RECASTS ROLE
Once Upon a Time is recasting a role for its upcoming third season. The character Robin Hood was briefly introduced in the second season where, naturally, his storyline crossed paths with Rumplestiltskin and Belle. Brit Tom Ellis originated the role of the Prince of Thieves, however scheduling conflicts has prevented him from reprising the role. Another Brit actor, Sean Maguire, will take over the role this fall. No specifics have been revealed about how Robin Hood will factor in the show's third season.
Maguire isn't a stranger to television but he's had limited American series roles on Eve and The Class, while having a greater presence on English serials. He is most recognizable from the 300 movie parody, Meet the Spartans.
Once Upon a Time returns for its third season on September 29.

NEW FEATURE! WACKY WEDNESDAY!.......SHARKNADO?
Stay Tuned is delighted to present a new section on the blog, Wacky Wednesday! Basically Wacky Wednesday will bring news, blurbs, or flashbacks of the oddest, cheesiest, can't-believe this exists moments in television history. Also, who else could possibly grace this section but our old favorites Dick Dastardly and Muttley. So without further ado, we present with the first Wacky Wednesday entry...
SHARKNADO!
Sharknado is Syfy's latest original movie premiering July 11 at 9pm. The title alone pretty much sums up what this disaster flick is about but just in case you don't, we'll break it down for you. A tornado full of sharks attacks a city and kills a bunch of people. There you go. It really is that simple.
Ok we'll give you a little more detail about Sharknado. It appears that super tornadoes form out on the Pacific Ocean and suck up a bunch of sharks from the ocean floor. These tornadoes soon travel inland to where else? Greater Los Angeles! Gee, LA always gets the shaft when it comes to disaster movies. I mean from Earthquake to Sharknado, the city just can't get a break. Well the Syfy flick stars Tara Reid (Now we know where's she been hiding) and Beverly Hills 90210's Ian Ziering (Now we understand why he started working with the Chippendales in Las Vegas).
Check out the trailer below and we hope you will check out this latest sci-fi TV movie.
One thing's for certain, it definitely gives a new perspective on Shark Week. Happy viewing and remember to Stay Tuned for future updates!
